What did you think of the season finale?Guys, I didn't get to see the season finale till just the other night and it was well worth the wait. See, I just moved from Hawai'i to Washington D.C. and I had no access to Showtime. I waited for someone to upload the show to you tube and then I had to watch it in 10 minute increments. I am truly obsessed with Dexter. As for the show itself, I loved it. It is way too often that Season Finales pose more questions than they actually answer and by the last scene of the show, your end up with even more cliffhangers than you had at the start. I did think that there was no way that Doakes could live without feeling a sense of resolve. And I'd like to echo the previoius comment in that Lila, well good riddens to her. I did feel that Deb has gain a sense of confidence and self-esteem. It was evident in the way that she took control of the fire scene. I can't wait till Season 3 and until then I rely on all of you to help fill the Dexter void.
How would Deb and Rita react if they found out that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher?
Initially the shock would overwhelm them both. I think Rita would come around with less apprehension because she's aware of Dexter's tragic childhood nightmare. She knows about the massacre, the trip to Naples, as well as Harry's suicide which may tap on some empathy.
If Deb finds out, I think she's going to "fall off the wagon" (a recurring reference throughout season 2). The two men, she thought she loved the most, turn out to be serial killers. She'll end up in the same looney bin where her precious Rudy/Brian spent half of his adolescent life.
Dexter does need a confidant in season 3 but I'm not sure as of yet, who he'd be able to trust.
